Cloud Manufacturing Software Adoption Rates Are Rising. See Why

LNS Research recently surveyed over 100 manufacturing executives on Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and has revealed some interesting data trends on cloud for manufacturing. 

Here is brief summary of their findings .

• 7% of respondents currently leverage cloud technology.
• 17% of respondents replied that they are planning to use cloud/SaaS (Software as a Service) based solutions for MOM applications in the future.
• 90% of manufacturing operations software vendors either have cloud offerings or are turning their attention to the cloud in their future developments

The industrial automation market has progressed to the point that there are multiple vendors now that provide cloud access to their applications.
